When I visited Mia, Marie and their lovely Mummy in the city of Potsdam on a freezing Saturday in February, the two girls immediately took to me. \u201cCan the photographer stay a bit longer?\u201d, asked the older sister, time and time again. And yes, I did indeed stay for a while … for a lot longer, in fact. I ended up spending nearly the entire day capturing the everyday life of Isabelle, her girls, their cat and their rabbit. We played, chatted and drank coffee. Sometimes the two girls came and sat on my lap or the cat purred contently and after a while, the three ladies seemed to slightly forget that I was there and simply went about their day-to-day life. The main aim behind my visit has actually already been perfectly summarised by Isabelle herself, who wrote this wonderful description on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cThere are moments and rituals in our daily life which we will slowly forget about when our children are grown up. Reportage storytelling holds moments of a period in life for a lifetime.\u201d Thank you, Isabelle, I couldn\u2019t have put it better myself.<\/p>\n

Family photos in Potsdam \u2013 A stroll down to the caf\u00e9<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s important to get outdoors and get some fresh air every day, even on days as shiveringly cold as those in February 2018 and even when it is just a simple walk down to the local caf\u00e9. In our case, this \u2018simple\u2019 walk turned out to be a true treat for the taste buds. The cappuccino at the Buena Vida Coffee Club<\/a> ticks all the boxes and the two girls certainly seemed to enjoy their hot chocolate too.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank-you to Isabelle, Marie and Mia for letting me spend nearly the whole day with you and allowing me to publish some of my favourite moments of the day here. I had so much fun visiting you in Potsdam!<\/p>\n
